Function:
The Redarc 12-5C multi circuit distribution box is designed to switch the trailer light circuits from the main battery supply using the primary circuit of the prime mover as the control triggers only. This removes the load off the prime mover circuits, which is important in a road train application to prevent damage to the vehicle’s electrical system. It operates from a nominal 12-volt electrical system and provides five 12-volt output circuits for trailer lighting. The 12-5C has a total switching capacity of 160 amps.
Protection:
Four circuits are fitted with a manual resettable Klixon circuit breaker, (reverse is wired straight through).
